Project Description
For this project, our goal was to add value by turning an old out of date fireplace into a working, value added focal piece. First, we brought in Walter Townshend and Sons to rebuild the fire brick, flue and extend the chimney to make it more efficient and safe. Then, our in-house team sourced the new materials and re-tiled the exposed surfaces before we added a brand new mantle.
We then added an electrical outlet, created a hidden space to run any cables (in case the new owner wanted to mount a tv in the future), then finished it off with some paint and two new sconces. We then staged the complete living room to showcase the value added focal point.
